An exceptional spot with a strong reputation of Kitesurfing in Mauritius Island. In my school KITESCHOOL MORNE VILLAGE, I can propose you different courses of Kitesurfing from initiation to improvement with also your first ride in the Waves. It is also possible to guide you towards the best spots where the wind is blowing, born on the island, I perfectly know my island and it will be a true pleasure to make you discover all the clues of kitesurfing and it's "secrets spots".

February was an extraordinary month for #TheWinterSession. We’ve seen broken boards and abandoned jetskis, calming log sessions, swearing Irishmen, Danish drainers and German riverwaves.

It is also possible for me to find you a house near the Kite spots at a very reasonable price with a rented car or 4 wheel drive. Don't hesitate contacting me for further information.Winter (May - September) also offers some good kiting but is generally in more gusty North Westerly/ South Westerly conditions in Cape Town. The right hand point breaks that begin moving East of Cape Town tend to work better on these winds.

For pure flat water kiteboarding head up to well known Langebaan Lagoon about 1.5 hours drive north of Cape Town.

Moving east from Cape Town along the coast, the Garden Route is a great place to discover - again lots of options on many great beaches from Witsand to Still Bay to Buffels Bay and many more - be sure to check out 'Knysna' (NiceNa) as a cool coastal town to relax, enjoy some oysters and a locally brewed beer.

About 800 kilometers east of Cape Town, with plenty of really good spots in between, you reach the world famous surf Destination - Jeffreys Bay, and then on through the Wild coast of the Transkei and up to the Durban area.

Durban is better known for its great surfing, but kitesurfing Durban's great waves is really big here too. The subtropical climate and ocean temperatures all year means no wetsuits. It does have a reputation for sharks, and all beaches around Durban are protected by shark nets. Best time for wind here is August - December, though you can get wind at any time of year - the prevailing NNE wind is a cross onshore in Durban. Go further south of Durban for excellent right point breaks and uncrowded wave conditions.

Kite rentals are available from big brand schools and shops in almost every known kiting location in SA. So you are in excellent hands if you are wanting to learn or get more kiteboarding gear.

Car rental is also easily done from any of the major airports and cities; and the best way to travel in South Africa on a good road infrastructure.
