CAPE VERDE ENTRY REQUIRMENTS

Introduction to Kiteboarding: Explaining the kite area, preparation, safety, theory of

flying, different types of kites 2/4/5 line – putting together the equipment & flying the

kite on land or in the water. In the water kite flying, re-launch techniques, body

dragging. Theory of board use, getting the board on your feet and going for your first

water start’s. Theory of edging the board, kite control and better body position. Including

boat support.

8 Hour

Improving your riding: Putting in to practice all of the skills learnt in the six-hour

course. Improving body position and control over the board, riding with more power.

Advanced theory. Including boat support.
(3 days)

10 Hour

Up and riding: The ten hour course is designed to help you with staying up wind, advanced

theory showing how to control board speed with the use of smaller twin tip boards. Covering

safety, rules and rescue techniques. Including boat support.
(4 days)

6 hour Improving confidence & riding ability:

Put in to practice all of the skills learnt in your previous course. Advanced theory,

improving body position, kite control, re-launch techniqus, edging for better upwind

performance and first/improving transitions. Including all boat support.
(3 days)
